Abstract

We surveyed the diversity of the euryhaline red algal genus Caloglossa associated to Rhizophora (mangrove) roots along the Pacific coast of Colombia and identified three species: C. leprieurii, C. stipitata, and C. intermedia. The latter species has been described in 2000 from the Atlantic coast of North America, and this is the first report of the species from the Pacific coast.
