Abstract
A new Riccia species, R. biokoensis, from the island of Bioko, formerly Fernando Po, is described and illustrated. It is classified in subgenus Ricciella on account of the assimilation tissue having air chambers, and in section Ricciella because of the ventrally protruding sporangia.
Kurzfassung
Eine neue Riccia-Art, R. biokoensis, von der Insel Bioko, ehemals Fernando Po, wird beschrieben und abgebildet. Sie wird aufgrund der Luftkammern im Assimilationsgewebe in die Untergattung Ricciella eingeordnet und in die Sektion Ricciella, weil die Sporangien nach unten hervortreten.
