Abstract
This study reviews the taxonomy of Panaeolus in Brazil, aiming to update and enhance the incomplete knowledge about the genus in the country. Despite its significant presence in fungal collections, there has been limited taxonomic research in the northern and northeastern regions of Brazil. Detailed morphological data are provided and compared to the current taxonomic framework, contributing to the knowledge of this genus.
