Abstract
This paper presents the methodological assumptions of the Western Pomeranian Atlas of Distribution of Vascular Plants and Fungi (ZARRiG). The objective of developing the Atlasis to complete and summarise the knowledge on floristic and mycological resources of north-western Poland based on historical and modern data. The project allows visualisation of the spatial distribution of species based on the ATPOL square grid system, constituting information about their populations and the strength and biodiversity of ecosystems in Western Pomerania. It is meant to encourage the exchange of scientific information and results of fieldwork, thereby making them easily accessible to individuals associated with nature conservation.
