On some new Malvinokaffric Silurian and Devonian chonetacean brachiopods, and reclassification of others

Abstract
Two genera and two species (Sanjuanetes dalenzae n. g. n. sp.; Kentronetes n. g.; Australostrophia clarkei n. sp.) are described from the Siluro-Devonian strata of Bolivia and Argentina. Chonostrophia chaparensis Súarez is assigned to Sanjuanetes n. g. while Chonostrophia reversa var. andina Levy & Nullo can only be tentatively assigned to the same. The South American species previously referred to the genus Quadrikentron are assigned to Kentronetes n. g. Detailed comparison between Sanjuanetes n. g. and Australostrophia, especially at the juvenile brephic stage level, establishes the strophochonetid familial assignment of the latter. The Family Chonostrophiidae is closely allied to the strophochonetids.
Kurzfassung
2 Gattungen und 2 Arten von Chonetacea werden neu aus Silur und Devon von Bolivien und Argentinien beschrieben: Sanjuanetes dalenzae n. g. n. sp., Kentronetes n. g., Australostrophia clarkei n. sp. Chonostrophia chaparensis Súarez wird zu Sanjuanetes n. g. gestellt, C. reversa var. andina Levy & Nullo mit Vorbehalt zur gleichen Gattung. Die bislang zu Quadrikentron gestellten südamerikanischen Arten werden im Kentronetes überführt. Der Vergleich besonders von juvenilen Stadien von Sanjuanetes und Australostrophia erlaubt es, Australostrophia zur Familie Strophochonetidae zu stellen, mit der die Chonostrophiiden nahe verwandt sind.
