First record of Stenochirus Oppel, 1861 (Crustacea: Decapoda: Stenochiridae) from the Callovian (Middle Jurassic) of La Voulte-sur-Rhône

Abstract
The lobster genus Stenochirus Oppel, 1861, previously only poorly known from the Upper Jurassic lithographic limestones of Bavaria, is recorded from the lower Callovian of La Voulte-sur-Rhöne (France). A new species, Stenochirus vahldieki, is introduced. Stenochiridae is not only morphologically similar in general habit, but is also closely related to the Triassic Chimaerastacidae, as demonstrated by the discovery of expanded pleurae of abdominal somite II in both taxa.
Kurzfassung
Die zuvor nur aus den oberjurassischen Plattenkalken Bayerns schlecht bekannte Krebs-Gattung Stenochirus Oppel, 1861 wird erstmals im Unter-Callovium von La Voulte-sur-Rhône (Frankreich) nachgewiesen und dafür eine neue Art, Stenochirus vahldieki n. sp. eingefuhrt. Die Familie Stenochiridae zeigt enge Verwandtschaftsbeziehungen zur triassischen Familie Chimaerastacidae, die ebenfalls beiderseits überlappende Pleuren am 2. Abdominalsegment aufweist, wie hier erstmals gezeigt wird.
