Abstract
Craterosaurus pottonensis SEELEY is a valid genus of stegosaur from the Lower Cretaceous (probably Neocomian) of England. A very incomplete neural arch with a fused dorsal rib from the Neocomian of Sussex is tentatively referred to this taxon. Few other valid records of stegosaurs have been reported from the Cretaceous: Paranthodon africanus (Broom), partial skull from the Lower Cretaceous of South Africa; Wuerhosaurus homheni (Dong), a partial skeleton from the Lower Cretaceous of China; and Dravidosaurus blanfordi YADAGIRI & AYYASAMI is based on various remains from the Upper Cretaceous of India.
