Abstract
The Upper Permian sediments of central East Greenland have been analysed for conodonts. Four species have been identified throughout the basin but restricted to the Ravnefjeld Formation. Neogondolella rosenkrantzi is the most frequent and dominant species. Xaniognathus abstractus, Merrillina divergens and Gen. et sp. indet. A occur less frequently. This fauna is correlated to conodont faunas in North America and NW Europe and indicates a late Wordian — early Capitanian age of the Ravnefjeld Formation equivalent to Zechstein 1.
Kurzfassung
In der oberpermischen Ravnefjeld Formation Ostgrönlands fanden sich vier Conodonten Arten: Neogondolella rosenkrantzi (als vorherrschende), Xaniognathus abstractus, Merrillina divergens und eine unbestimmte Art. Korrelation mit nordwesteuropäischen und nordamerikanischen Faunen ergibt ein Alter von Zechstein 1 (Ober-Word /Unter-Capitan).
