Abstract
A fossil plant assemblage (leaves and fruits) from the continental (fluvial and limnic) beds of the Csatka Formation near Oroszlány (West Hungary, Northeast Transdanubia) is described. Although the diversity is low, it represents a characteristic Oligocene flora documenting at least two-storied forests. Based on the presence of Eotrigonobalanus furcinervis the fossil-bearing beds are older than Egerian and can be classified into the late Kiscellian.
