Abstract
The classification and nomenclature of Devonian members of the lichid trilobite subfamily Trochurinae are reviewed. Previously claimed subjective synonymies of Lobopyge Přibyl & Erben, 1952 with Belenopyge Pek & Vaněk, 1991 and Akantharges Phleger, 1936 with Rhenarges Basse in Basse & Müller, 2004 are rejected. Basseiarges Corbacho & López-Soriano, 2013 is regarded as a junior subjective synonym of Akantharges. Huginarges Basse in Basse & Müller, 2004 is proposed as substitute name for the invalid trilobite genus Lobopyge. A revised hypothesised phylogeny of Devonian Trochurinae is proposed.
