Kurzfassung
Der Sedimentationswechsel zwischen Schwebstoffen mit hohem Karbonatanteil und solchen mit hohem Schichtsilikatanteil ist der Grund für Feinschichtung eines Großteils der Sedimente im Ammersee. Die Interpretation dieser Laminierung als »Jahreszeiteneffekt« ist aufgrund der Untersuchungsergebnisse nicht haltbar. Vielmehr spiegelt die Feinschichtung in den Sedimenten dieses Sees unmittelbar die stark schwankende Zusammensetzung der Schwebfracht des Hauptzuflusses wider, die allein von der Intensität der Niederschläge im Einzugsgebiet abhängig ist.
Abstract
A great part of the sediments in the Ammersee is laminated. The reason for that is the alternating deposition of suspended matter with high contents of carbonate or with high contents of clay minerals. Observations made during the investigation period suggest, that these laminations are not the results of seasonal effects. Moreover these laminated sediments represent primarily changes in the suspended load of the Ammer River. Contribution and amount of the suspended load are depending only on the intensity of rainfall in the catchment area.
