Résumé
L’implantation dentaire chez les Ichthyopterygia est réexaminée. Il apparaît que la thécodontie et l’hétérodontie sont primitives pour le groupe. Dans ce cas l’implantation dentaire observée chez les Ichthyopterygia post-triasiques ne peut être une subthécodontie. Il faut alors envisager l’existence d’un stade d’implantation ultérieur àla thécodontie. Le même phénomène est observable chez certains cétacés odontocètes.
Abstract
The dental implantation of the Ichthyopterygia is re-examined. Thecodonty and heteromorphy are primitive features for this group. Therefore, the dental implantation observed in post-Triassic Ichthyopterygia cannot be a subthecodonty. We must consider the possibility of a “post-thecodont” level of implantation. The same phenomenon is observable in some odontocete cetaceans.
Kurzfassung
Die Zahnbefestigung bei den Ichthyopterygiern wird neu untersucht. Thecodontie und Heterondontie sind für diese Gruppe primitiv. Deshalb kann die bei den posttriadischen Ichthyopterygiern beobachtete Zahnbefestigung keine Subthecodontie sein; ein »post-thecodontes« Befestigungsstadium muß dann behauptet werden. Ein ähnliches Phänomen wird bei einigen Zahnwalen beobachtet.
