Kurzfassung

Auf Klüften im Cornberger Sandstein (Rotliegendes) in der Bohrung Solling 1 tritt neben anderen Mineralen Dawsonit auf. Soweit dem Verfasser bekannt ist, handelt es sich um einen Erstfund in Deutschland. Der Dawsonit hat sich in Zusammenhang mit jüngeren vulkanischen Ereignissen im Gebiet gebildet.

Abstract

In fractures of the Cornberger Sst. (Rotliegendes) of the well Solling 1 Dawsonite has been found amongst other minerals. This is the first discovery of the mineral in Germany according to the knowledge of the author. The Dawsonite was generated in connection with younger volcanic events in the area in question.
