Résumé
Il s’agit de la première découverte de restes végétaux, empreintes avec cuticule et restes anatomiques, dans le Néocomien de Quehmez et Beskintaa près de Beyrouth (Liban). Une nouvelle espèce de Coniférales Brachyphyllum libanoticum n. sp. est décrite ainsi que d’autres restes de Brachyphyllum sp., Podozamites sp., Agathoxylon sp. et Metapodocarpoxylon libanoticum. La composition systématique de la flore est analysée par rapport à d’autres flores périthétysiennes.
Abstract
Imprints of plant remains with cuticles and anatomical remains are described for the first time from the Neocomian of Quehmez and Beskintaa near Beyrut (Lebanon). A new species of Coniferales, Brachyphyllum libanoticum n. sp., is described, in addition to Brachyphyllum sp., Podozamites sp., Agathoxylon sp. and Metapodocarpoxylon libanoticum. The systematic composition of the flora is analysed and compared with some other floras from the Peri-Tethys area.
Kurzfassung
Neu entdeckte Pflanzenreste (Abdrücke von Cuticula und fossile Hölzer) aus dem Neokom von Quehmez und Beskintaa bei Beirut (Libanon) werden vorgestellt. Neben einer neuen Koniferen-Art, Brachyphyllum libanoticum n. sp., werden Reste von Brachyphyllum sp., Podozamites sp., Agathoxylon und Metapodocarpoxylon libanoticum beschrieben. Die systematische Zusammensetzung der Flora wird mit derjenigen anderer Floren der Peritethys verglichen.
