Résumé
La découverte d’une seconde espèce du genre Imocaris: I. colombiensis dans le Pennsylvanien marin de Colombie, en fait le premier représentant dans le Carbonifère supérieur du sous-continent sud-américain et au Sud des tropiques. Elle atteste une fois de plus d’étroites affinités biogéographiques entre la Colombie et l’Amérique du Nord pendant le Paléozoïque supérieur.
Abstract
The discovery of a second species of the genus Imocaris: I. colombiensis in Pennsylvanian marine deposits of Colombia is the first Upper Carboniferous record of the genus in South America, and the southernmost one. It attests, once again, close biogeographic relationships between Colombia and North America during the Upper Paleozoic.
Kurzfassung
Imocaris colombiensis aus dem Oberkarbon von Kolumbien ist die zweite Spezies der Gattung Imocaris und gleichzeitig der erste Beleg der Gattung aus dem Oberkarbon und aus Südamerika. Damit bestätigt sich wiederum die enge biogeographische Beziehung zwischen Kolumbien und Nordamerika im Jungpaläozoikum.
