Abstract

Stilbohypoxylon adiopodoumense, collected around Adiopodoumé, Ivory Coast, is proposed as a new species. Two excluded Rosellinia species, R. echinocarpa and R. julii are formally accommodated in the genus Stilbohypoxylon as S. echinocarpum and S. julii. A species not formally described from Taiwan and a specimen from Northern India are described as S. rogersii. The species concepts of S. moelleri, S. elaeidicola, and S. samoënse are discussed. S. samuelsii and S. bresadolae are considered distinct from S. immundum. An identification key to 20 Stilbohypoxylon species and one variety is provided. The geographical distribution of Stilbohypoxylon spp. according to climate zones is illustrated and discussed. This work is dedicated to Professor Jack D. Rogers.
