Abstract
During three expeditions to Papua New Guinea lichenized blue-green algae were collected. Ten taxa with the heterocystous filamentous blue-green algae Scytonema and Stigonema as phycobiont are treated. The list includes Dictyonema irpicinum, D. ligulatum, D. moorei, D. sericeum, Lichenothrix riddlei, Ephebe ocellata, Coccocarpia glaucina, C. palmicola, C. rottleri, and Lichenosphaeria lenormandii. The genera Ephebe, Lichenosphaeria and Lichenothrix, as well as the species Dictyonema moorei are new for New Guinea.
