Abstract
An interpretation is given of the tectonic setting of southeastern Aspromonte, which is formed of a Hercynian Range overlain by numerous Klippen of the Stilo Alpine Unit. The lithological association and metamorphism characters of the Hercynian Range units are indicated, as are the characters of the late Hercynian magmatic bodies. The age of the emplacement of the Stilo Unit on the Hercynian Range is established as pre-Miocene. Several considerations are made on the pre-Alpine and Alpine history of the Hercynian Range.
Kurzfassung
Es wird der tektonische Bau des südöstlichen Aspromonte beschrieben, der eine herzynische Gebirgskette ist, die von zahlreichen Klippen der alpinen Stilo-Einheit überlagert wird. Die für die spätherzynischen Magmatite kennzeichnende Lithologie und Metamorphose der herzynischen Gebirgskette werden aufgezeigt. Das Alter der Platznahme der Stilo-Einheit im herzynischen Gebirge ist prä-miozän. Es werden einige Betrachtungen über die prä-alpine und die alpine Geschichte des Herzynikums angestellt.
