Abstract
The new species Piretella pontis is described from the Middle Ordovician of Bohemia. It is the first record of Piretella outside Baltoscandia and indicates closer relations between the ostracode faunas of Baltica and Bohemia than was previously assumed.
Kurzfassung
Aus dem Mittelordoviz von Böhmen wird die neue Art Piretella pontis beschrieben, die der erste Nachweis der Gattung Piretella außerhalb von Baltoscandien ist und engere Beziehungen zwischen den Ostrakodenfaunen dieser beiden Regionen anzeigt, als sie bisher angenommen wurden.
