Abstract
A study of the identity of nine lichen species described by Gonçalo Sampaio and one by W. Nylander was carried out. As a result, the following synonyms are proposed: Arthonia algarbica and A. baeastroidea belong to Arthonia pruinata; Lecanora gerezina belongs to Aspicilia epiglypta; Bacidia sulphurella belongs to Bacidina arnoldiana; Lecidea rigata belongs to Catillaria chalybeia; Leciographa fragosoi belongs to Diplotomma ambiguum; Lecanora circumrubens belongs to Lecanora rubicunda; Lecanora pachycarpa belongs to Lecanora swartzii; Pertusaria aspicilioides belongs to Pertusaria chiodectonoides and Lecanora calvosina belongs to Schaereria fuscocinerea. Three of these species: Bacidina arnoldiana, Diplotomma ambiguum and Lecanora swartzii are new records to Portugal.
