Abstract
In the first issue of volume 8 n. s. of this journal F. Mayr published a review of my publication on the geomorphology of the Fröhdischbach-Mühltobel area in Vorarlberg, Austria. Although disagreeing on minor points only in the field of methodology, the reviewer appears to be rather unhappy with the results of my study when some previous ideas on the glacial geomorphology of the general area are questioned or rejected. In order to stimulate the discussion of the glacial geomorphology of this part of the eastern margin of the “Bodenseerheintal” I should like to take issue with some of the opinions expressed by the reviewer.
